Bio
Alex Rojas is a Canadian visual artist and photographer whose practice explores movement, identity, and the fragmentation of experience. Drawing from his background as a national-level trampoline athlete, his work investigates the tension between control and chaos — most notably in Adrenaline, a high-intensity sports photography series, and In the Void, an ongoing project capturing athletes suspended midair. His conceptual self-portrait Shards uses broken glass and Polaroid emulsion lifts to visualize memory, identity, and the beauty found in fragmentation. Rojas has exhibited both locally and internationally through collaborations with artists across Canada, Japan, and Mexico, and continues to blur the line between sport and art in both his commercial and conceptual work.
